Deck Name: Johannes Commands the Legion
Created By: Johannes Walch
Description: Basic idea was to use Command the Legion in any deck. I made a G4/5 Ventrue, but was not too happy about it. Consulted the TWDA and found Otto´s G4/5 Ven, from where I borrowed a lot of ideas.

Crypt: (12 cards, Min: 18, Max: 39, Avg: 7,25)
----------------------------------------------
1 Jackson Asher dom 2 Ventrue
1 Emily Carson for pre DOM 5 Ventrue
1 Victor Pelletier cel dom for PRE 5 Ventrue
1 Mustafa cel dom FOR PRE 6 Ventrue
1 Victor Donaldson for pre DOM 6 Ventrue
1 Graham Gottesman obf pre tha DOM FOR7 Ventrue
1 Lodin (Olaf Holte) aus pro DOM FOR PRE8 Ventrue
2 Johannes Castelein DEM DOM FOR PRE 9 Ventrue
1 Gustav Breidenstein aus cel pot DOM FOR PRE10 Ventrue
2 Mary Anne Blaire ani pot AUS DOM FOR PRE10 Ventrue

/* crypt was nice, opted to double johanne s, well because it is johannes. also i have victor, never drew him, though. most people have DOM which is good */

Library: (90 cards)
-------------------
Master (17 cards)
2 Jake Washington (Hunter)
2 Wash
2 Villein
1 Golconda: Inner Peace
1 Anarch Troublemaker
2 Perfectionist
1 Giant`s Blood
1 Papillon
1 Pentex Subversion
1 Ventrue Headquarters
1 Monastery of Shadows
2 Vessel

/* not too many surprises here. monastery is cool, esp. when followed up with a parity shift. i have 6 trifles there, master section is light which is good because the deck cycles really fast */

Action (14 cards)
2 Scouting Mission
2 Command the Legion
3 Mind Rape
7 Govern the Unaligned

/* light on action cards since often your actions don´t suceed, rather have modifiers. mind rape are great doubling as defense and forward. command the legion is really good when you can pull it off, disabling blockers and deflecters and just freak drive afterwards */

Action Modifier (30 cards)
2 Perfect Paragon
1 Approximation of Loyalty
2 Voter Captivation
4 Bonding
2 Foreshadowing Destruction
4 Conditioning
6 Seduction
9 Freak Drive

/* just enough payload to get the VPs. didnt have any seductions at first, but this was very useful, just enough freak drives would have missed every single one. perfect paragon is pretty good, versatility is well worth the blood */

Political Action (10 cards)
4 Parity Shift
1 Ancilla Empowerment
1 Neonate Breach
1 Political Stranglehold
1 Ancient Influence
1 Domain Challenge
1 Banishment

/* light vote package to justify the freak drives and much needed poolgain */

Reaction (9 cards)
2 Second Tradition: Domain, The
2 Obedience
5 Deflection

/* just enough to keep people guessing */

Combat (6 cards)
6 Majesty

Combo (4 cards)
2 Murmur of the False Will
2 Force of Personality

/* i was not sure at all about those cards, but both proved to be very effective. versatility really rules in this deck */

Here is my report from todays tournament. We had a very nice tournout with 18 players. Thanks to Spielepyramide and Maik for hosting the event! Happy Birthday to Erol.

From what I saw tournament had great atmosphere and beginners were nicely integrated.

Round1
Me -> Laibon No Secrets + Rush -> Lasombra BH S&B (Erol) -> Lasombra Bleed&Vote (Michael) -> Weenie Animalism Rush/Bleed

THis round started not too great with my pred having info highway and dreams and turn 1 & 2. I was bled heavily, was able to pull out a few guys though due to governing, scouting and mary´s special. It started to get better when I got the Freak Drives. Parity Shifted back to survive, Laibon and weenies were ousted at about the same time. My prey was quite well set-up and Michael was super well equipped with permanent 7 bleed with stealth and whatnot. Finally got Erol due to a well deflected bleed, but was quickly crushed then. 2VP

Round2
Me -> Eurobrujah (Lukas) -> Lasombra BH S&B (Erol) -> Palla Grande and War Ghouls (Ralf)

An Awful round. I had a horrible draw after a first super-turn with Mary. Got pressure from Ralf, got Mary devoided of blood by the Brujahs. Tried to Parity SHift Ralf he poisoned my pills. Erol took us both then. In the end it was tougher than expected but Erol managed to sweep the table. 0VP

Round3
Me-> Khazars Diary -> Laibon No Secrets + Rush -> Weenie Animalism Rush/Bleed -> Tremere Toolbox

In this round everything fell into place nicely. My predator bled me heavily early but I recovered from Parity Shift on my prey. Cards flowed nice and there wasnt much Intercept so I ousted my prey quickly. Laibon had crushed most of the minions from the ANI deck by then, but with a well timed Pentex I ousted the Laibon and then the weenie who was also down to 3 pool by then. That left me in the duel with ~30 pool quite a walk in the park. 1GW5VP

Final
Me -> Nosfe Royalty (Kristian) -> Euro Brujah (Lukas) -> Lasombra Bleed&Vote (Michael) -> Lasombra BH S&B (Erol)

Was coming in at 5th seed with 1GW7VP. Wasn´t next to the Eurobrujah, seemed to be good. Many 2nds from my prey could potentially be annyoing.

Was able to bloat good in the beginning and speed up transfers. Had a pretty small crypt also, which helped. Kristian and Michael were executing there vote lock left and right, Lukas was Banished at unfortunated moments and Erol got a lot of pool damage from bleeds and votes, which was fine for me since he needed those Governs to bloat. Mind Raped Ermengildo and used him for a 4 point bleed, awesome. It came to a bit heated up moment where Erol wanted Michael´s Legendary Vampire to be removed but Kristian wouldn´t vote for him so Erol bled me for 4 at stealth and the bleed ended up successfull at Kristian´s pool. That was great for me since that left my prey at 4 pool, one Seduction bleed + Conditioning got me my first VP. I probably would have bleed him out at this point anyway, but the ease and saving of resources was nice. Lukas was also in a pretty bad shape then but he resisted my ousting attempts pretty well by playing 4 2nd Trads in a row! Luckily he could only hit hands for one having a strange hand obviously. Finally I ousted him and Erol resisted a bit but was finally ousted by Michael. Luckily for me Michael hadn´t the right cards at the moment so he was too slow at ousting me and after a furious last turn with activating my anarch troublemaker and bleeding him crazy i managed to win with 1 pool left. He also made a few minor errors at the point which cost him the game. Good for me. :)

Gegen allies hatte ich eigentlich Command the Legion und Force of Personality gedacht (in Kombi).
